- 'Uddhava-gītā' - Part of Canto 11 of the Bhāgavata Purāna, chapters 7 to 29 and forms
the final piece of the Bhāgavatam just before Lord Krishna leaves the
earth, where Krishna speaks to His nephew about His Teachings and Being
on the occasion of Uddhava's question how to live when Krishna not
anymore walks this earth. The plea forms an alternative Bhagavad-gītā
wherein some slokas (verses) literally correspond, and differs from it
in the sense that the exposition puts more emphasis on the process of
self-sufficiency in devotion in yoga and less on delivering battle to
vanquish evil, as to how Krishna taught Arjuna on the battlefield of
Kurukshetra. [see also Canto 11 of the Śrīmad
Bhāgavatam]
